Who are we ?

Our story: the evolution of L'Amphitryon, a guest house in Oloron-Sainte-Marie in Béarn

The dream of creating a warm and welcoming guest house germinated more than twenty-five years ago, inspired by our experiences and encounters as hosts. Although our professional careers and family lives postponed this project, 2021 marked a turning point. We decided to take over L'Amphitryon , a charming guest house, located in Oloron-Sainte-Marie , capital of Haut-Béarn in the Pyrénées Atlantiques .

By settling in this magnificent region, we have chosen to start a new adventure. New life, natural and mountainous environment, peaceful living environment…

Preserving the spirit of the place

The Amphitryon is nestled in an 18th century building, a former presbytery , witness to centuries of history: a place whose spirit we felt it was essential to preserve while respecting the environment and local heritage.

Since our installation, we have implemented, with local craftsmen, renovations to offer our guests a harmonious and authentic setting, respecting the architecture and heritage of Haut-Béarn .
